How Tour Boss works

Built by a roadie. If something's not here, email head@thetourboss.com.

Quick start (5 minutes)

  1. 1Sign up at thetourboss.com/auth/signup — first user is the org owner.
  2. 2Onboarding asks for your team name + first tour name. That's it. You're in.
  3. 3Add your first show: Tours → your tour → + New show (pick or create a venue, set the date).
  4. 4Invite your crew: Crew tab → Single or Bulk. Existing accounts join instantly; new emails get a token-link they redeem on signup.
  5. 5Build the day sheet: Show detail → + Add item. Every change pushes to crew automatically.

Roles

  • Tour Manager / Production Manager

Full access. See settlement, manage crew, send for signature, push to crew, archive tours.

  • Artist / Crew / Agency

Read tours + day sheets, hotel, travel, contacts. No settlement. Default landing is /road — phone-first dashboard.

  • Promoter Guest

Sees only the show they're scoped to. Submits the advance, replies in the comment thread, can't see other markets.

  • Agency principal

Org owner role + access to /agency: cross-tour roster, today's call times, revenue rollup.

Promoter advance

Open a show → Invite promoter → enter email → they get a magic-link to /promoter. They fill the form, submit. You get an email + in-app notification. Approve, request changes, or reopen — they get notified each time. The form locks once you approve.

Settlement

Settlement tab (TM/PM only) → click any show → enter gross, attendance, guarantee, bonus, net, walk-out. Mark reconciled when settled, mark paid when wire lands. Tour-wide rollup at the top, expense ledger + per-diem tracker on the right.

E-signatures

On any document: Send for signature. Add signers (name + email + role). Each gets a unique link to /sign/[token]. They draw a signature or type their name. We capture email + IP + user-agent + SHA-256 of the document for the audit trail. When all signers complete, both parties get notified and the document is sealed.

Calendar

On any tour, click 📅 Calendar in the header. Subscribe in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook — it auto-updates as you edit dates.

Notifications

Three channels: in-app bell, email, mobile/web push. Tune them per event class at /settings → Notifications. Browser push needs a one-click permission grant from the same page.

Mobile app

iOS + Android crew app coming via TestFlight + Play. The web app is fully functional in the meantime — works great on a phone too.

Pricing + trial

14-day free trial, no card. After: $64.99/mo flat or $50/mo billed yearly ($600/yr · save 23%). Unlimited Pro users — no per-seat upcharges. Manage at /settings/billing.
